Handmade Christmas ornaments

Here are 2 of the hand made ornaments on my tree. They are both done using those clear Christmas ornaments that you can get at any craft store. The first one uses a piece of acetate in the middle of the ornament that I embossed snowflakes onto. In person it is really neat because it looks like the snowflakes are just floating in the middle of the ornament. I finished it off with a white bow.

The 2nd ornament is kind of blurry (sorry about that), I couldn't seem to get a good picture of it. But this ornament really makes the red pop on my tree. Our tree has light green, gold and red ornaments on it and I made a bunch of these ornaments to really give some shimmer and consistency to the tree. Again this uses the clear ornament and I added about 20-25 drops of re-inker into the ornament. Then you swirl around the ink until the entire inside of the ornament is cover. Turn it over and let the extra ink drip into a plastic cup. Then add our dazzling diamond glitter and shake it all around until you have a good coverage. Dump out the extra glitter, but don't throw it away because now you have a beautifully died glitter that can be used on your other projects. I put it into a small Ziploc bag and it seems to keep fine in there. Then just put the top back on the ornament and your good to go.

Happy stampin and have a great day!

I RECEIVED MY NEW SU CATALOG TODAY!

Oh My goodness, I'm in heaven, I just received my new catalog and I have to tell you I love it! I would post pictures but it's against SU policy so I can't wait to show it to all of you. There are some really fantastic new Designer papers both for girls and BOYS, I know that a lot of people say there isn't enough scrapbooking paper for boys, but I don't think you'll be disappointed this time. Of course there are fabulous new stamp sets, more variety this time, definitely something for everyone. We have new glitter too! A set that they are calling chunky glitter which looks like it will be fun to play with (of course you all know how much I love glitter, there aren't to many projects that I do, that I don't add glitter to.) There is another set of glitter that is fine like our dazzling diamond glitters but it comes in different colors. I can't wait to get my hands on both of these new sets of glitter! Also there are 5 different sets of rub-ons and I can't wait to try those out as well. Can you tell I'm excited. Club members will receive their catalogs at our first club meeting on Jan 14th. If your not a club member but would like to purchase a catalog let me know. If you want to check out the catalog feel free to come to our club meeting on Jan 14th. If your not a club member their is a guest fee of $5.00 to cover materials or if you purchase $25.00 worth of products then your fee is waived. RSVP is due 2 days before club meets.
Have a great day and happy stampin!

Where Have I been?

OK So I know that I have been MIA lately and here is the reason why. I was put on bed rest for 2 weeks and then our well completely ran out of water so we had to have a new well put in can you say "OUCH". So we had no water for Thanksgiving week, and then it was Thanksgiving so that kept us busy and then on November 29th we had our beautiful baby girl Hannah May who weighed in at 9lbs 3oz. We came home on that Friday and then on Sunday we were re-admitted to the hospital for another 4 days because Hannah was very jaundice. But we are all home now and happy and healthy so here I am and I will be posting as often as possible.

Kayla's Birthday Invitations

Kayla's birthday is right after Christmas so I needed to get them done so yesterday while the girls took their nap I quickly whipped these invites up. Kayla loves them and I guess that's what really counts. I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Certainly Celery for my colors. It's really a fun color combination, you should try it out. I used the Eat Cake stamp set and the Hugs and Wishes stamp set. I also used the happy birthday cuttlebug embossing folder to give the background a little texture. Of course I added dazzling diamond glitter to the cake and the candles. I hope you like it, now I'm off to make my Christmas cards. Those should be done by now right? Oh well.

Have a great day and happy stampin!
