I Love what I do!

Wow, I can't believe all the stamping I've been doing lately. This is awesome! I've been fitting it in here and there and I love the projects that I've been coming up with. I wish I had thought of this weekly challenge thing a long time ago. I gives me somewhere to focus my attention and I'm just whipping out the projects.
Remember that tomorrow (Wed) is the last day to submit your projects for this weeks challenge which was to use chipboard. I don't care how you use it, just use it! Today I'm going to share 1 last way to use your chipboard. This project I have showcased on my blog a long time ago, but it fits in with the whole using chipboard thing so I figured I would show it again.

Chipboard & Stamping:
Ok the name of the company is Stampin Up! So maybe a little stamping on chipboard would be a good thing!
Step 1: Pick out your chipboard, you're stamp and your ink color
Step 2: Stamp on your chipboard
Step 3: Finish project as desired
I mean come on, how much easier can it get right?
This technique works really well with bigger pieces of chipboard that have a good amount of space to stamp on, but it can also be accomplished just as nicely on smaller pieces of chipboard too!
I hope that my chipboard projects has inspired you to try out your own projects using chipboard. It really is a fun easy product to use.
Tomorrow I'm going to be sharing 4 cards with you, that I absolutely think are so adorable, and yes they do use chipboard again! I just couldn't help myself, I've really been enjoying using my chipboard and I'll give you a hint. I'm doing a technique that I've already showed you and those of you who know me, know that this is my favorite item to use on any and every card that I can! Any guesses on which chipboard technique it is?
Have a fantastic day, it's sunny here and I'm going to enjoy it while I can, I hear we are in for some more rain. The joys of living in New England I guess.
Have a great day and happy stampin!

Today (Tuesday) is the LAST day of sale-a-bration! Get those orders in, before you miss out on all the free products!

chipboard, chipboard who has the chipboard?

me apparently as I have been using it on all of my projects all week long! Happy start of the week to all of you! I've added a poll to the right side of my blog, so please feel free to vote. I'll be putting up different polls from time to time so I better know how to help my customers and find out what you're really interested in.
Ok on to today's post. I have another way to use your chipboard. Ready?
Chipboard & Rub-on's:

Step 1: Sponge ink onto your chipboard
Step 2: Apply rub-on of your choice
Step 3: Finish your project as desired

Isn't that easy! That's all there really is to it and I love the effect it has on this scrapbook page. You can also see that I used chipboard with glitter again, but this time it's the chunky glitter which gives it another whole look. The F is for family, friends and fun it could also be for my mom's first name Frances as this is what this scrapbook page is all about.

As you can see in the close up picture, I've also stamped out some images, cut them out, glittered them up (because I have to you know) and applied them to the chipboard as well. The rub-on's where actually all one rub-on and i just cut it apart where I wanted to and applied it to all 3 chipboard tags.
Alright you're turn, show me your projects that you've used chipboard on. I'd love to see them. Wednesday is the last day to play along with this challenge and then we'll be on to something else! I hope that you decide to join in on the fun.

Raniy Sunday with more chipboard projects

Hello to all! Happy Sunday, it's been raining here all day but hey that's better then snow right? Just another quick reminder, if you have not received a post from me in the last couple of days and you receive updates by e-mail, please click over to my blog to see the chipboard projects that you have missed.
Today I have another chipboard project for you! This is one of my favorite ways to use chipboard.

chipboard and designer paper:

Step 1: pick the chipboard and designer paper that you will be using.
Step 2: trace around the chipboard pieces onto the designer paper.
step 3: Cut out the designer paper
Step 4: Using your favorite adhesive(I really like to use either tombo multi adhesive or SU's glue sticks for this project they work best!) Apply the designer paper to your chipboard.
optional: at this point if you want to you can sand around the edges to give it a more completed look or leave just the way it is.
On this scrapbook page I used chipboard to make the flowers. Aren't they adorable? Do you see the green top note die sticking out from the top of the top picture in the layout? I've made that into my hidden journaling, isn't that really neat. It looks beautiful and just like an embellishment, but when you pull it out that's where my journaling is. You can see it out on the second picture of the scrapbook layout.
Have you tried using your chipboard yet? If so leave me a comment on how you used yours. Also if you e-mail me a picture with chipboard challenge in the subject line, I'll feature your projects right here on my blog. Wednesday is the last day of this challenge, so what are you waiting for? Get off the computer and go use your chipboard!
Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Tuesday is the last day to order during sale-a-bration and earn free products for every $50.00 order. Orders can be placed by phone, e-mail or right on line at www.angelariddell.stampinup.net click on "shop now".

More chipboard!

Before I start my post for today, if you receive my blog posts by e-mail and didn't receive one yesterday, click over to my blog to see yesterdays post. I showed a really cool way to use chipboard. You won't want to miss it! Sometimes my posts don't get sent via e-mail. I'll have to figure that out. But anyway, on to today's post.

Happy beautiful Saturday to all of you. The sun is shinning here and we are expected to hit 60 degrees today, yippeee! My girls have been outside all morning so I"m hoping that they take a good afternoon nap so I can get a lot done. Today I'm showing another way to use chipboard.

Chipboard and Crystal Effects: This is a great way to make your chipboard shiny!

Step 1: sponge color of your choice onto the chipboard
Step 2: Apply crystal effects all over the inked chipboard and allow to dry. A good 4 to 6 hours for drying is needed. I did these pieces of chipboard before I left for the evening and when we came home they where good to go.
(sorry for the blurry picture, try applying crystal effects and taking a picture at the same time, it really doesn't mix!)Step 3: Apply chipboard to project and finish how ever you would like.
Isn't this a really neat way to use chipboard. People pay big bucks for shiny chipboard and we can do it with everything that we already have on hand. After you've applied the crystal effects you could also add some glitter to it before it dries to give it an extra special touch.

You can see here that I glued my 2 chipboard pieces together and I also added ribbon to the reversed heart image. That in it's self is a really cool way to use your chipboard.

Ok so I've given you another way to use your chipboard, so now go do it! Remember to e-mail me your pictures of how you are using your chipboard and I will post them to my blog. I have a really cute project for you tomorrow and yes it does involve chipboard. See you tomorrow.

Only 3 more days left to sale-a-bration, if you haven't taken advantage of our biggest promotion of the year, do it quickly before time runs out on you!

Have a great day and happy stampin!

reach for the stars with chipboard

Alright ladies, so the challenge is on! If you read my post yesterday, I challenged you to use your chipboard. You can use it on any project you would like to use it on. I thought over the next few days I would show you some of the different ways that you can use chipboard. So today we are reaching for the stars with our chipboard. Isn't this giraffe just the cutest? I think he's so stinkin cute.

So for the chipboard:
1. I sponged on ink until I got the color that I was pleased with. 2. I then applied tombo mono multi adhesive (love this stuff) and then sprinkled glitter all over. This chipboard star really sparkles! Isn't that an easy way to use your chipboard? The cute little giraffe was colored in using blender pens and our pastels. It gives a really nice soft look to the card. Did you catch the texture on the creamy carmel cardstock, aren't those diamonds fabulous? Don't they just add that extra little touch to the card? If you haven't tried out the texture plates yet, you really have to. Did you catch the ribbon and the rhinestone brad around the star. I love how it color coordinates with the card.

Remember you only have a few more days left to take advantage of sale-a-bration. To order your Stampin UP products simply call, e-mail me or order right on line through my website http://www.angelariddell.stampinup.net/ click on "shop now".

Also remember if you're ready to get your own Stampin Up business started there are only a couple more days left to take advantage of the 15% off of the starter kit and don't forget that you get to pick out an extra free stamp set of your choice and if that didn't make it easy enough for you to sign up, don't forget that you can also pay for your starter kit over 3 months. I love being a demonstrator! I love helping people find their creativity. I love the fact that I can promote myself by how hard I work. I love the fact that I can't be fired or laid off. I love the fact that I get to work my work schedule around my family's schedule. I love that I get to meet new people all the time. I love the fact that I get the opportunity to earn free products all the time and I have the chance to earn free incentive trips too! How many people can say that they LOVE their job? Not many but I can honestly say that I LOVE my job!

Questions, please feel free to call me and we can get together and talk.

Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

New weekly challenge

Hi everybody, I have some exciting news for you. I am going to be doing a weekly challenge on my blog! I was talking to a customer last night and she was saying that she needs someone to challenge her to get out her SU products and use them, so I figured I'd make it a weekly challenge on my blog, because I'm sure there are other people who need a little "push". Here's the way the challenge will go.
I will post a challenge every Thursday. You will have until the next Wednesday to finish the challenge. Send me pictures of your completed projects and I'll post them to my blog. I might even have a little prize from time to time.
This is just going to be a fun, laid back way to get you using your products and along the way I"ll show you different ways to use them.

Ok so here is the first official challenge:
"Chipboard" I know you have it so let's use it. You can use it how ever you want to, on a card, scrapbook page or in any other way you can think of.
There are many ways to use chipboard, here are just a few ideas to get you started:
paint it with acrylic paint
sponge our ink on it
cover it with designer paper
stamp it
glue and glitter
emboss it.

Ok so go get started, you have until next Wednesday to finish your "chipboard" project. If you are my customer send this to everybody else you know that needs a push to use their products.
You can do as many entries as you would like to.

Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

happy, happy Wednesday!

Good Wednesday morning everybody! The sun is shinning again and it's going to get up into the 50's today. Oh happy day. Today I have a card for you that I will be doing at a workshop tonight. Patty my hostess is part of one of my stamp clubs and took advantage of sale-a-bration and decided to have a workshop. At one of the club meetings I was showing them how to use our pastels, we did the poppin pastels technique, you can see the card here. Well I was telling them that you can use our blender pens with our pastels so she asked if we could do that technique tonight at her workshop and I said absolutely! Isn't this a great card? I can't take credit for this one, I got the idea from this talented lady here. I really didn't change much except for the designer paper and the color of the flower pot, but that's about it.

2 posts in 1 day

Hi everybody,
This post is for the grandparents. They have been away all winter and I promised them pics of the girls so this is the easiest way for me to upload them and have them all in one spot. So here you go grandparents, pictures as promised. Aren't my little ones just adoreable?

More Decor!

Still Sunny and cold here, but it is supposed to get a bit warmer today. I think we are going to get up into the 40's today. Last night at 9:00 pm all of a sudden I had this burst of energy so I decided to put up a decor element in my bathroom. I love the way it looks, the chocolate color just looks so calming against the soft blue color. What do you think? Ready to put one up in your house? Book a party and earn your decor elements for FREE! The great thing about our decor elements is that they are not permanent, so if you want to put something else up on your walls you can do that, they are great for people with apartments who can't paint walls or put nail holes in the walls because these can go right up and won't peel off your paint when you take them down. What a great way to re-decorate a wall without putting tons of money into a re-decorating project. You get the point their cool, versatile and cost effective.

I hope that you have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Birthday gift packaging

Hi everyone,

How are you? It's sunny here but COLD today. I can't wait for 60 degree weather, how about you? Today I have a quick post for you with an idea for any gift giving packaging events you might have coming up. This is just a white lunch sack that I added stamped cardstock to with a little bit of designer paper. I love the kiwi kiss designer paper with the rose red cardstock what a fun color combo! I used a stamp from the priceless stamp set as well as raspberry tart designer paper on the bottom. Isn't this a great way to dress up any old lunch sack you have hanging around the house when you need a gift bag in a hurry. You could even add handles to it if you wanted to. I love how the white ribbon just "pops" between the rose red and kiwi kiss, it gives it such a "clean, modern look". I don't know if you noticed or not, but I also took a plain piece of tissue paper and randomly stamped the same stamp all over it. This is one of my most favorite things to do, I really feel it gives your gift packaging that extra special touch and makes it really one of a kind.

Order special-Place an order of $50.00 or more today or tomorrow (March 23rd -24th) by phone, e-mail or online on my website and receive all the supplies to make this fun gift bag. Supplies include, 2 pieces of cut rose red cardstock (ready for you to stamp),2 pieces of cut and measured kiwi kiss designer paper, white ribbon cut perfectly to be added to your bag, white lunch sack and 1 piece of tissue paper. What you will need to finish this project is: sticky strip, stamp set of choice and rose red ink pad. Not only will you receive everything needed to make one of these great gift bags, but you will also receive a FREE sale-a-bration set of your choice!

Call me at 413-863-3166 or e-mail me at c_riddell@comcast.net or go to my website www.angelariddell.stampinup.net and click on "shop now"

Another sale-a-bration creation

Hello everybody,
I have another Sale-a-bration post for you today! This card was one of my club projects this month. The technique is called faux linen and it gives the card a really vintage or shabby chic look. I used spring colors because I was doing this card during the last big snow storm we where having and I really just wanted spring to be here. On this card we also used the hodgepodge hardware in the vanilla color, I love our hodgepodge hardware. They add that extra touch to a card, or their perfect on a scrapbook page, but they are also fun to use for home decor projects. Hmmm, maybe I'll have to post some of those project soon, so you can see just how versatile they really are.

Sale-a-bration ends March 31st, so place your orders before then to take advantage of free sale-a-bration products! Did you know that if you purcahse the hodgepodge hardware kit, the cutter kit and 2 ink refills you would also receive a FREE sale-a-bration stamp set and anybody who makes a purchase of $50.00 or more now through Wednesday March 25th will also receive 1 free classic ink refill from me.

Because this special is through me, you will have to order through phone or e-mail. You can not order on line and recieve this special as we won't be able to add the free refill to your order!

Girly scrapbook page

I have a customer who is having a scrapbook birthday for her daughter, so she asked me to put together a sample for her, so here it is. She asked for girly, pink and butterflies so I hope this fits the bill perfectly. I really love this page, is that bad to say? I love the butterfly with the corduroy brad in the middle as well as the texture on the butterfly that was done with the big shot and the SU texture plates of course! I love how easy the big shot makes it to put together a quick and easy scrapbook page. I've included a picture of the page, a close up shot of the butterfly and some other details and then a full view with a picture in it.

This is also the first page of Scrapbook Thursday on April 23. I will show you the other page in a few days. If you want in on this class shoot me a quick e-mail to save your spot until I get all the details worked out. I will have the layout in this color scheme as well as blues and greens for a boy color scheme.

Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Happy St. Patty Day!

Hello to you! Top of the morning to ya! Ok just kidding, trying to get in some of that Irish garb, not really working though so I'll stop. Today's card is a card that we did at one of my stamp clubs last week. They really wanted to learn how to emboss so I thought this card would be perfect! It's straight out of the sale-a-bration brochure and I loved everything about this card, the colors, layout, paper piercing and all that. We used blush blossom, riding hood red, kiwi kiss and close to cocoa cardstock what a really nice combination it is.

There is only a week and a half left to take advantage of sale-a-bration. To place your order call or e-mail me or shop right on line at www.angelariddell.stampinup.net

Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Happy Sunday!

Have you seen a theme lately? Yes that's right HAPPY. The sun has been out for 3 days straight and the weather has been up into the 50's how could I not be happy. Plus having all these fun sale-a-bration projects to show you makes me happy as well. So today's project is a scrapbook page that we did at a workshop back in FEB. We used the sab designer paper, ribbon and stamp set botanical blooms. This page would be perfect for mother's day, Easter pics, spring pics or pretty much anything else. This is a 6x6 page but I showed them how they can incorporate this page into a larger scrapbook page, whether it be a 81/2x11 or 12x12. I also showed them how they could make a brag book using our 6x6 album and having these small pages in there. I showed how it would be perfect for maybe a grandma who wants to show off pictures of their grand-baby. 6x6 scarpbooking is an easy way for someone to get started, who has maybe never scrapbooked before. The reason for this is your dealing with a smaller space and usually only 1 to 2 pictures per page. If you would like to get started scrapbooking and would like my help please feel free to contact me.

IF you visit my blog on a regular basis you've probably seen this layout before. I used it at Christmas time just with different colors, papers and stamps. That's what I love about Stampin Up! products just change up some colors or stamps and you have a totally different page.

Scrapbook Thursday- Come join me on Thursday March 26th at 6:30 pm. We will be making a 2 page 12x12 layout. Please bring your own adhesive. The layout out will be all about spring! If you plan on attending please let me know by Thursday March 19th.

Class fee is $15.00 or free with a purchase of $50.00 or more, which will also get you a free Sale-a-bration product of your choice.

Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everybody! The sun is shining here in MA and that makes me very happy. The snow is slowly melting away and I can see pieces of grass through all the snow. Whoo Hoo!

There are only 2 weeks left to sale-a-bration so if you want to take advantage of getting free stamp sets, paper bundles and ribbon bundles, please place your orders by the end of March. Because there are only 2 weeks left to SAB, I am going to be showing projects that I have been doing at classes and clubs over the last month and a half. There are some really terrific sab products this year, so I really want to showcase them for you.

Today's project is straight out of the sab catalog and this is one of the projects that I did at both of my clubs this past week. It was a little tricky getting that flower into the position that we wanted, but with a little tombo multi adhesive we got it to stick just the way we wanted it to.

Isn't this card really cool? I love how Stampin UP used the sab designer paper as the sky and grass, I thought that was a neat touch, as well as the celery ribbon as the leaves to the flower. If you have never used the tombo multi adhesive, all I have to say is that it's perfect for projects like this. It really makes paper stick to paper with out a problem.

Free tombo multi adhesive with qualifying purchase: Because I enjoy this product so much, I'm going to run a special! Anybody who makes a purchase of $100.00 or more from today Friday March 13th through Friday March 20th will receive a tombo multil adhesive for FREE as well as 2 sale-a-bration products of your choice. And that's not all if you spend $150.00 not only will you receive the free tombo, you'll also receive 3 free sab products of your choice and hostess benefits of $15.00 in free merchandise as well as a free level 1 hostess exclusive stamp set.

To place your orders by phone please call me at 413-863-3166 or e-mail me at c_riddell@comcast.net

Big Shot Class projects

A couple weeks ago I had a big shot class and we had so much fun with the projects. At the end of the class I asked everybody what their favorite project was and they said ALL of THEM. That's a good class when all the projects are liked. Here are 2 of the 4 projects we did at that class. The first one is a quilt card. We used our beautiful Sale-a-bration paper bundle for the quilt patches as well as the butterfly that we die cut out of our chipboard sheets. Which are available through our catalog. The second project is a top note die purse. Isn't it adorable? I just love it! We used riding hood red cardstock and my favorite bella designer paper as well as the kiwi kiss satin ribbon. Did you know that the kiwi kiss designer ribbon is double sided? One side is kiwi kiss and the other is vanilla with kiwi kiss stitching. How cool is that your getting 2 different ribbons for the price of 1 and the way it feels is just amazing.
Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to purchase the big shot die cutting machine if you haven't already. Purchase the big shot starter kit during March and receive 2 sale-a-bration stamp sets of your choice as well as $15.00 in free products and a level 1 hostess exclusive stamp set of your choice. Call or e-mail me to purchase your big shot starter kit, you won't be sorry. This machine is amazing. Anybody who purchases the big shot machine from me also gets to attend special big shot classes at a discounted price and make projects like the ones you see above.
Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Downline meeting

We had our monthly downline meeting last night and it was so much fun. I was so excited to present Laura (one of my demos) with a free stamp set for promoting to Supervisor during SAB. I'm so proud of Laura for taking this next step in her business.
Mel (one of my other demos) was in charge of the make & take last night and she did a fabulous job! She is very creative and I love to see everything she does. Before the meeting she had told me that she stepped out of her comfort zone with the colors that she used for the card. All I have to say is that the color combination is so pretty, I will be using it again. So here is the card that she made. I love how she incorporated the different texture plates into the card. I don't know if they show up or not on my picture but the solid blocks of color all have different textures on them. Isn't it just a great card. If you would like more information about becoming a demonstrator and joining our fun group of ladies, call or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you have. Our downline meeting is always the first Tuesday of the month and anybody is welcome to join us. Laura had also brought some really cute barrettes that she has made. I tried to take some pictures but they all came out blurry. So Laura if your reading this, please take some pictures and e-mail them to me and I will post it on my blog.
