Organization AHHHHH

So I have been very uptight lately and not getting any stamping done, and why is that? Well my whole life is un-organized and I can't stand it any more. So what am I doing instead of stamping? organizing, every room in the house. I rearranged the girls room to make room for the baby's crib and organized all their toys, boy did that feel good. Then I cleared off my computer desk and let me tell you that took 2 days. I had piles and piles of papers on it. I had to sort and go through everything, but it's great because now I can see the desk.
And have I told you how wonderful my husband is? I have a craft room that has turned into a junk room in the last 3 years, I can't use it to stamp so I have to pull everything out onto the dinning room table to stamp and then it stays there for weeks. And by the time I have everything out and ready to stamp, one of the kids wakes up from nap so I get nothing done. So my super husband is making me cabinets for my craft room ( and this is on top of working 7 days a week right now, he was out in the garage until 10:30 last night cutting and assembling these cabinets), and we bought 2 6 foot folding tables that I will have to work on. It won't be the most beautiful room but it will be use able which means more stamping for me. YEAH
so within the next week or 2 I should have a brand new craft room to do lots of stamping in and at the same time I should have a more organized house because all my stamping stuff can go back to where it belongs. I'm jumping up and down with joy!
Well I have a newsletter to finish and projects to do for upcoming classes, club and workshops so that's it for today, have a great day! Happy stampin!

Summer picnic

I'm ready for spring can you tell? I love this new designer paper, summer picnic from the occasion mini catalog. It's so fresh and fun and summery, hence the title. It's great also because it coordinates with the new stamp set tart and tangy which I have to say is die cut so it only takes minutes to put together.

I used my SU markers to color in the stamp with real red and garden green ink I then stamped it onto whisper white cardstock and punched it out with the 13/8 circle punch. I then punched out a piece of real red cardstock with my circle scallop punch to layer behind the cherries. I used my corner rounder punch on my wild wasabi cardstock to make the scallop edge. I then used my white gel pen to make the dots and then layered on my bashful blue 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. Fun quick card. Hope you like and it makes your day more cheery!

Happy stampin!

Stamp Club projects

We had stamp club last night and boy did I have fun, I can't speak for anybody else but my self. We made 2 cards, one was a spinner card (which are always fun to make), we used the rocket from pun fun to be our spinner. So cute!

This is the other card that we made, I wanted to use some of the new products out of the occasion mini. We used the die cut blooms (which are our textured paper, I love them!), rub on's and they learned how to make striped grosgrain ribbon. We also used the ribbon slide from the new hodgepodge hardware, but it's kinda hard to see in this picture. I showed them how they can add re-inker and crystal effects to color them to coordinate with what ever colors you happen to be using.

Our next club meeting will be April 14th. I hope to see some of my local customers there!
