In Full Bloom - Emboss Resist

I have a class tonight for those ladies who purchased the spring fever promotion, so today's entry is a card that I did at a private embossing class a week ago. I love how the the flower seems to pop through the color. The technique that we used is called Emboss Resist. For the card I used mellow moss, pretty in pink and whisper white card stock. On the base of the card I used mellow moss ink and stamped the flower line in the middle of the card and the greeting in the bottom right corner. On the pink and white layers I used the ticket corner punch. I added the piece of white grosgrain ribbon between the pink and white layers and then just taped it on the back. I used the stampin Dimensionals to raise the white card stock off of the pink card stock just a little bit. I stamped the flower in versamark and stamped it onto my whisper white card stock. I then covered the image with embossing powder. I used my heat gun to emboss the image. I then took a sponge and lightly dabbed ink onto the flower. Hint: for this technique less ink on your sponge is the way to go. You can always come back and put on more layers of ink, but you can't take layers off once they are there.

Enjoy and happy stamping!
