The joys of being a mom
I hope that you had a fantastic Christmas! The girls had a great time and I'm ready to get them back on a schedule.
I just wanted to let you know that I won't be around for a while. My 1 year old, Hannah, broke her collar bone the day after Christmas, so I have to be a mom and take care of her.
Which brings me to my reason on Why it's great to be a demonstrator:
I can work my schedule around my family. When something comes up with my family I have much more flexibility with my schedule.

Customer Christmas cards

This second card was done by Laura, it is a very stunning card and I'm not doing it any justice with the pictures. It is an acetate card (clear card) with snowflakes all over it and then she used some designer paper, either from ski slope or holiday treasures, I'm not sure right at the moment. I could go check but I'm being lazy. She stamped the red parts of the tree and punched them out and popped them up with dimensionals and then she topped it off with our designer brads and a red rhinestone brad in the center. Just beautiful. I've added a close up picture so you can see more of the detail. If you click on the picture it will come up very BIG and believe me you won't miss any details.
Thank you both very much for the stunning cards.

I just want to wish everybody a restful and happy, joy filled Christmas. Don't forget the real reason for the season!
Why I love being a demonstrator Part 3: Who doesn't like to get stampin products at a 20% discount? Wouldn't you like to get your favorite products at 20% the catalog price? Contact me to answer any questions you might have about becoming a demonstrator.

Snowmen & Glitter
Helllloooo everybody! How are you all today? Well the sun is out and shining and my family is happy and healthy so that makes for a good day for me! Last night I had a workshop and let me tell you, we had a GREAT time. Thanks Kim for having us all over to stamp! Kim (my hostess with the mostess, for the evening) requested that we use a snowman and glitter. She said that she didn't care what we did for a project, just try and work in glitter! HELLO, glitter is my absolute, most favorite item to use, so that shouldn't be hard to accommodate. I know that Kim really loves to scrapbook, she's not so much into the card making part of it so I put together this adorable 6X6 scrapbook page. I took this from a scrapbook page that I had done in the summer (it probably originated from Splitcoast, as do many of my projects) and just changed it around a big, added different colors and of course the snowman and voila you have the page. Don't you just love it? I then showed them how they could incorporate this page onto a bigger scrapbook page. The snowman that we used is from the stamp set Merry & Bright and it just happens to be 10% off from now until December 23rd. To purchase this or any other set from the catalog just give me a call, e-mail or shop right on line through my website. http://www.angelariddell.stampinup.net/ and click on shop now. Orders of $70.00 or more receive FREE SHIPPING now through DEC 23rd.On another note, stamp club is filling up very quickly, so if your interested in joining us, shoot me a quick e-mail or phone call to let me know to save your spot. Stamp Club will start up in FEB on the 2nd Monday of the month.
That's it for today, have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Here is what one club member had to say this month. "Now that I've become part of stamp club, I can't imagine not doing it!"
Big Shot party highlights!

This last picture is 3 of the 4 projects that we did. We made the box out of the scallop envelope that comes in the starter kit, how cool is that! We also made the ornament that is inside of it, using the vinyl that Stampin UP now sells for the big shot machine. We filled the ornament with re-inker that you would use to re-ink your stamp pad, and then after making sure that the ink was all over the ornament and we let any extra ink drip out, we added dazzling diamonds glitter (my favorite) and shook the glitter all around the inside of the ornament. (Make sure to have the cover back on the ornament or a paper towel over the top of it, so that you don't have glitter going all over the place). And we also made this adorable snowman, he could be used in many different ways: obviously her could be used as a card, he could also be used as a tag for a present, a Christmas ornament and he could also be used to write some hidden journaling on a scrapbook page. The box and the snowman came from splitcoast stampers, these are not my original ideas.
I have a new big shot club starting so if anybody is interested in being part of the big shot club and getting your self a big shot over 4 monthly installments, give me a call or e-mail and we can get you started. Have a fantastic day everybody and happy stampin!Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Happy November 1st
Hi everybody! Happy November 1st to you. How was your Halloween? What did you do? Craig and I took the girls trick or treating. We go to our family, my mom & dad, Craig's mom's and Aunt's and my sisters house. Kayla had a really good time and Hannah kinda just hung out, she's such an easy baby! So here is a pic of my kiddos and their dad. Getting him to smile in pictures is like pulling teeth, so don't mind the scowl, he really is a very sweet man, just don't look at his pictures to try and figure that out.
Here is a card that I made for a dear friend who helped me out with meals after my surgery last week. This card is actually one that I did at a workshop a couple of days ago, except that I changed the saying from "happy thanksgiving" to Kind and I changed the center image from a pumpkin to this medallion from the baroque motifs stamp set. I love the colors, very fall-ish, Old olive and really rust. In the center of the medallion I put a red circle rhinestone brad just to give it that added touch! Friday, October 31, 2008

I've been using my big shot again!
Can I tell you how much I love my big shot! It's so fun! I've been working on these stars for my Christmas tree. They are so much fun and very easy, no difficult folds to figure out, just glue the 5 points together and your ready to go. For these stars I used some retired SU Christmas paper from a couple of years ago, because these are the colors of my tree. I will probably age them a little by sponging brown ink around the edges, to make it look like it's been around for awhile. If you don't have the big shot and would like to purchase it, head on over to my website, http://www.angelariddell.stampinup.net/ and click on shop now and then you can pick and choose what Big Shot accessories you would like. Also don't forget to add it to your Christmas wish list, for those special people in your lives and just give them my website address and they can order it for you!
I guess that's it for today, I've been busy having fun with the girls, we went out side Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and played in the leaves, and we all had a blast! Kayla absolutely loves it, and Hannah is not sure what to think, but she does her best not to start crying. She does think the leaves are pretty yummy though. Alright everybody, have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Mary Kay - Book To Look
About a month ago I went and did an informational night for them, on how to incorporate Stampin Up into their Mary Kay business and how important Thank you notes are. They all already know that, because they are a fantastic group of Mary Kay consultants! Well one of the projects that I was showing them was my book to look vase that I use at my Stampin Up events and they all seemed to like it and asked me to make up a mock one for them. So here it is.

The pillow boxes will have a handmade stamp on the back as seen on this grey pillow box. I can not sell them to you unless I have that angel policy on the back. The stamp actually stands out more in the picture, then it does in real life.
There will also be a refill pack available for purchase anytime for an additional $5.00. The refill pack includes:
24 Empty pillow boxes
If you are interested in purchasing one please call me at 413-863-3166 or e-mail me at c_riddell@comcast.net
If you are in our unit, they will be available for pick up at our next meeting if you order by this Thursday October 16th. They will also be available after that anytime that you would like to place an order.

Christmas Card Extravaganza part 2
Here are the other 7 options for the Christmas Card Extravaganza on November 15th. To see all the details about this event see this post. If you can't make it to the class, you can order a kit "to go" All the cards will be all done and ready for you to use.October club projects
See how in the pictures below, the boat is rocking to the right and then to the left, the tilt card basically tilts a focal point back and forth. I thought it would be pretty cool with the boat seeing that a boat in real life would rock back and forth over the waves. I've also seen this technique done with a hula dancer and her skirt moves back and forth. It would also be really neat with a palm tree and have the leaves rock back and forth. That's it for today. If your interested in joining a technique club give me a quick call or e-mail. I have a couple ladies who are interested in
starting one, but we need a total of 6 ladies.Supplies: nursery necessities stamp set
cardstock: night of navy, old olive, close to cocoa, whisper white
ink: night of navy, old olive
markers: old olive, bashful blue, night of navy, close to cocoa
accessories: bashful blue striped grosgrain, blue gingham, circle scallop punch, scallop edge punch
To order these or any Stampin Up products head over to my Demonstrator website and click on shop now.
Well that's it for today. I'll show you Frankie tomorrow.
Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Batty for you
So I went to Target tonight after the girls went to bed. Good thing their open until 10:00pm! Sometimes I just need to get out of the house and by myself is just an added bonus. So I always check out the dollar spot at target to see if their are any items that would be good for altering, and I was in luck tonight. They had these adorable tins, they came 2 for $1.00. They had packages of black and silver tins and orange and silver, so I got a few and figured I'd use the black and orange ones for Halloween and save the silver ones for Christmas. Really all I did was make a tag with the batty for you set and my 11/4, 13/8, and circle scallop punch. I also used some orange 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and black hemp. If you look at the close up picture you can see how I cut out the bat and put him up on a dimensional (I love to do that).
I love how it says batty for you around the bat, it just makes me think of my kiddos. I am batty for them so I think that Kayla will be finding one of these baskets on Halloween. She loves candy corn and it's so cute the way she says it. Corney candy, she can't remember the right way to say it, I love listening to her say it. Mommy can I please have some corney candy? How can you say no to that? Oh yeah I think about all the sugar in them and then it's a lot easier, but don't let me fool you, she has her fair share.I'd say have a fantastic day, but it's over, but by the time some of you read this, it will be day again. So I guess I can say it.
