The joys of being a mom

Hi everyone,
I hope that you had a fantastic Christmas! The girls had a great time and I'm ready to get them back on a schedule.
I just wanted to let you know that I won't be around for a while. My 1 year old, Hannah, broke her collar bone the day after Christmas, so I have to be a mom and take care of her.

Which brings me to my reason on Why it's great to be a demonstrator:
I can work my schedule around my family. When something comes up with my family I have much more flexibility with my schedule.

Customer Christmas cards

It's rainy here today in Western MA! Yuck, I'd much prefer snow. Today I thought that I would share with you some cards that I received from customers. I love getting handmade cards in the mail from my customers, it makes me feel very special and I love to see what my customers are doing with their products. This first card was done by Renee. She embossed the tree in Gold and it looks just stunning. Renee was part of the big shot club, and as you can see here she added the top note die on her card. Love it!
This second card was done by Laura, it is a very stunning card and I'm not doing it any justice with the pictures. It is an acetate card (clear card) with snowflakes all over it and then she used some designer paper, either from ski slope or holiday treasures, I'm not sure right at the moment. I could go check but I'm being lazy. She stamped the red parts of the tree and punched them out and popped them up with dimensionals and then she topped it off with our designer brads and a red rhinestone brad in the center. Just beautiful. I've added a close up picture so you can see more of the detail. If you click on the picture it will come up very BIG and believe me you won't miss any details.
Thank you both very much for the stunning cards.

I just want to wish everybody a restful and happy, joy filled Christmas. Don't forget the real reason for the season!

Why I love being a demonstrator Part 3: Who doesn't like to get stampin products at a 20% discount? Wouldn't you like to get your favorite products at 20% the catalog price? Contact me to answer any questions you might have about becoming a demonstrator.

This particular one is a hostess only decor elements that you can get for having a workshop or placing and order of over $300.00. Why it's good to be a demonstrator part 2:

handmade Christmas ornaments and why it's great to be a demonstrator

hello everybody,
Sorry the posting has been sporadic lately. Nov and Dec are very busy for me, not only is it the 2 major holidays of the year, it also happens to be both of my daughters birthdays. One is 2 days after Thanksgiving and the other is 2 days after Christmas, talk about BUSY! On top of all that my Stampin Up business has been keeping me busy too!
So here are some samples of handmade ornaments that I have been teaching this winter. Some have been at classes, others at workshops. I enjoy making Christmas ornaments and half of the ornaments on my tree are hand made. This year I did a mom&me class and we had a fantastic time making ornaments. I had Kayla help out with the class and I think she was beside herself with excitement.

How cool is this snowflake! It was cut out of chipboard with the big shot machine! If your interested in joining a big shot club, call or e-mail me to get started! Or come to my house on January 13th from 6:30-7:30 pm,to see what the big shot is all about and to see if it's something you would be interested in having.
Why it's great to be a demonstrator:
My reason today, why it's great to be a demonstrator is because you get to purchase products during a pre-order time earlier then anyone else. Wouldn't you want to get your hands on the latest Stampin UP products before everybody else?

Snowmen & Glitter

Helllloooo everybody! How are you all today? Well the sun is out and shining and my family is happy and healthy so that makes for a good day for me! Last night I had a workshop and let me tell you, we had a GREAT time. Thanks Kim for having us all over to stamp! Kim (my hostess with the mostess, for the evening) requested that we use a snowman and glitter. She said that she didn't care what we did for a project, just try and work in glitter! HELLO, glitter is my absolute, most favorite item to use, so that shouldn't be hard to accommodate. I know that Kim really loves to scrapbook, she's not so much into the card making part of it so I put together this adorable 6X6 scrapbook page. I took this from a scrapbook page that I had done in the summer (it probably originated from Splitcoast, as do many of my projects) and just changed it around a big, added different colors and of course the snowman and voila you have the page. Don't you just love it? I then showed them how they could incorporate this page onto a bigger scrapbook page. The snowman that we used is from the stamp set Merry & Bright and it just happens to be 10% off from now until December 23rd. To purchase this or any other set from the catalog just give me a call, e-mail or shop right on line through my website. http://www.angelariddell.stampinup.net/ and click on shop now. Orders of $70.00 or more receive FREE SHIPPING now through DEC 23rd.

On another note, stamp club is filling up very quickly, so if your interested in joining us, shoot me a quick e-mail or phone call to let me know to save your spot. Stamp Club will start up in FEB on the 2nd Monday of the month.

That's it for today, have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Supplies:
Cardstock: old olive, baja breeze, chocolate chip, whisper white
Designer paper: Ski slope (holiday mini catalog)

Place a $70.00 order your self, or if it's not $70.00 I will be putting in an order on Dec 17th and Dec 23rd, and we can add orders together to come up with the $70.00 to get the free shipping. Sale-a-Bration- Sale-a-bration is right around the corner and I am now booking workshops for Feb and March. Book your workshop early so that you reserve the date that you want, before someone else grabs it.
Sale-a-bration is a sale that Stampin Up has every year. For every $50.00 that you spend you will receive a free stamp set from the sale-a-bration catalog. Who couldn't get excited about FREE STAMPS? This year I'm pleased to tell you that it's not just stamps in the catalog, there is also a ribbon bundle and scrapbook paper bundle. Sale-a-bration books up quick for me so make sure you don't miss out on having your own workshop! Sale-a-bration is great for everyone!
Customers - receive free products from the sale-a-bration catalog for every $50.00 they spend (and there is no limit as to how many you can earn for free)
Hostess- For every $300.00 in sales you have at your workshop you will receive free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog.
Recruits- Have you been thinking of signing up to become a demonstrator? This is the perfect time to do it. On top of your starter kit you get to choose 1 extra stamp set from the spring/summer idea book & catalog! That's up to a $47.95 value.

Stamp club: I have another round of Stamp club starting in Feb. and I'm taking names. Do you want to learn new techniques every month? Would you like to get out of the house once a month and get out with other people who like to stamp? Do you like free merchandise? Do you want to build your stamping supplies over a longer period of time? Then Stamp club is for you.
Stamp club meets once a month at my house, we learn a couple new techniques, we have a fantastic time! Each month the hostess benefits rotate between the club members. Each club member receives that idea book/catalog for FREE,that's a $9.95 value. Each club member also receives at least a hostess level 1 exclusive stamp set and $15.00 in free products. (My club members have been averaging much more in hostess benefits then what is listed here).
Each club member agrees to spend at least $25.00 or more in products at each meeting.
If a club member can't make it to the club meeting their order and payment are still due by the day of the club meeting.
IF your interested or have more questions please feel free to call me at 413-863-3166 or e-mail me at c_riddell@comcast.net
Here is what one club member had to say this month. "Now that I've become part of stamp club, I can't imagine not doing it!"

Big Shot party highlights!

Oh what fun we had last night at the Big Shot Party. Everybody who was part of my big shot club over the past 4 months was invited to a party where each of them received their big shot machine. We made 4 really fun projects. Everybody braved the nasty weather that we had up here in MA. I thought that I would show you pictures from the event as well as 3 of the 4 projects that we made. Thank you all so much ladies for attending, I had a great time with all of you! This first picture is before everybody arrived. Look at all those amazing big shots sitting their waiting to be used. The second picture is a picture of almost everybody, I couldn't make them all fit in the picture. Then we have random pictures of everybody doing their projects.

This last picture is 3 of the 4 projects that we did. We made the box out of the scallop envelope that comes in the starter kit, how cool is that! We also made the ornament that is inside of it, using the vinyl that Stampin UP now sells for the big shot machine. We filled the ornament with re-inker that you would use to re-ink your stamp pad, and then after making sure that the ink was all over the ornament and we let any extra ink drip out, we added dazzling diamonds glitter (my favorite) and shook the glitter all around the inside of the ornament. (Make sure to have the cover back on the ornament or a paper towel over the top of it, so that you don't have glitter going all over the place). And we also made this adorable snowman, he could be used in many different ways: obviously her could be used as a card, he could also be used as a tag for a present, a Christmas ornament and he could also be used to write some hidden journaling on a scrapbook page. The box and the snowman came from splitcoast stampers, these are not my original ideas.
I have a new big shot club starting so if anybody is interested in being part of the big shot club and getting your self a big shot over 4 monthly installments, give me a call or e-mail and we can get you started. Have a fantastic day everybody and happy stampin!

Happy November 1st

Hi everybody! Happy November 1st to you. How was your Halloween? What did you do? Craig and I took the girls trick or treating. We go to our family, my mom & dad, Craig's mom's and Aunt's and my sisters house. Kayla had a really good time and Hannah kinda just hung out, she's such an easy baby! So here is a pic of my kiddos and their dad. Getting him to smile in pictures is like pulling teeth, so don't mind the scowl, he really is a very sweet man, just don't look at his pictures to try and figure that out.
Here is a card that I made for a dear friend who helped me out with meals after my surgery last week. This card is actually one that I did at a workshop a couple of days ago, except that I changed the saying from "happy thanksgiving" to Kind and I changed the center image from a pumpkin to this medallion from the baroque motifs stamp set. I love the colors, very fall-ish, Old olive and really rust. In the center of the medallion I put a red circle rhinestone brad just to give it that added touch!
Well everybody have a fantastic day and my newsletter will be going out sometime today or tomorrow, if you don't get my newsletter yet, then you should really sign up. I list all of my upcoming events and any specials that are going on, as well as any promotions that I' m running. Quick sign up! You can do it right from my blog.
Happy stampin!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everybody,
I'm back up and running. I still am soar from time to time, but I feel much better then I did last week. I guess I can look at the positive side of this and will never have to worry about getting my appendix out again!

So today I'm sharing some Halloween tins that I did up for our good friends kiddos. I did show one similar a while ago, but I just think that they are so stinkin cute so I thought that I would share them all together. I got the tins at target dollar spot (love that place), they where 2 for $1.00. I also got the cut Halloween pencils their too. They came in a package of 10 for a $1.00. So this is a fantastic gift to give and your not breaking the bank all at the same time! And the best part is that the kids will love it, really as long as you give them candy their happy, right? For this project all did was bag up some m&m's plain and peanut butter (yum-o as Rachael Ray would say) and the m&m's are adorable all dressed up in their Halloween colors of lime green, purple, orange and black. Then I tied our SU 1/4 grosgrain ribbon around the tins. I found that if you applied some adhesive to the back of the ribbon before you tie it on, it stays put much better. I then stamped out some images from batty for you and punched them out and tied them on and voila the projects are done! It took me maybe 15 mins. to do all 3 of these. I'm off to go deliver them now. I hope that everybody has a fun and safe Halloween. I'll share pics tomorrow of the girls in their costumes.

Until then,

Happy stampin and have a great day!

Just wanted to let you know

Hi everybody,
Just wanted to let you know that I won't be posting for a few days. I had emergency surgery to get my apendix out, so I won't be on the computer. Be back when I'm not in so much pain.

I've been using my big shot again!

Can I tell you how much I love my big shot! It's so fun! I've been working on these stars for my Christmas tree. They are so much fun and very easy, no difficult folds to figure out, just glue the 5 points together and your ready to go. For these stars I used some retired SU Christmas paper from a couple of years ago, because these are the colors of my tree. I will probably age them a little by sponging brown ink around the edges, to make it look like it's been around for awhile. If you don't have the big shot and would like to purchase it, head on over to my website, http://www.angelariddell.stampinup.net/ and click on shop now and then you can pick and choose what Big Shot accessories you would like. Also don't forget to add it to your Christmas wish list, for those special people in your lives and just give them my website address and they can order it for you!

I guess that's it for today, I've been busy having fun with the girls, we went out side Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and played in the leaves, and we all had a blast! Kayla absolutely loves it, and Hannah is not sure what to think, but she does her best not to start crying. She does think the leaves are pretty yummy though. Alright everybody, have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Mary Kay - Book To Look

How are you today? I'm good, my 10 month old has been very sick with a bad cold. Poor thing, her nose is running down her face constantly and her cough just sounds so horrible. She had a fever of 102.1 last night, but her fever broke sometime in the middle of the night. Thank you God! She's been doing lots of napping and cuddling with me today! So when she has managed to sleep today, I've been working on this project for my fellow Mary Kay consultants.
About a month ago I went and did an informational night for them, on how to incorporate Stampin Up into their Mary Kay business and how important Thank you notes are. They all already know that, because they are a fantastic group of Mary Kay consultants! Well one of the projects that I was showing them was my book to look vase that I use at my Stampin Up events and they all seemed to like it and asked me to make up a mock one for them. So here it is.

The book to look vase will cost $15.00 each. That includes, everything that you see in the picture. It includes:
The marbles
The book to look sign
and 24 empty pillow boxes
(ready for you to fill)
You will receive 12 pink pillow boxes
and 12 grey pillow boxes

The pillow boxes will have a handmade stamp on the back as seen on this grey pillow box. I can not sell them to you unless I have that angel policy on the back. The stamp actually stands out more in the picture, then it does in real life.

There will also be a refill pack available for purchase anytime for an additional $5.00. The refill pack includes:

24 Empty pillow boxes

If you are interested in purchasing one please call me at 413-863-3166 or e-mail me at c_riddell@comcast.net

If you are in our unit, they will be available for pick up at our next meeting if you order by this Thursday October 16th. They will also be available after that anytime that you would like to place an order.

How about joining a scrapbook club! Club would meet once a month where each club member agrees to purchasing $25.00 or more in SU products instead of paying a fee for coming to the scrapbook class. Each month we would do a 2 spread 12 X 12 layout. Shoot me a quick e-mail or call me to learn more about this event!

Card kit & Scrapbook kit by mail:
I will be launching a new feature on my blog. I will be offering a card kit of the month, which will include all the pre-cut paper and embellishments to make a featured card of the month. You will have the option of adding extras to your kit, which would include, stamp sets, ink pads and other accessories.

I will also be adding a scrapbook kit of the month which will be very similar to the card kit of the month.
More details to follow in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!

Boy that was a lot of information. Make sure to read it carefully as not to miss any of the details.

Ok on to today's projects. These are actually the make & takes that I will be doing at an upcoming workshop. The hostess asked for a Christmas box and I suggested an ornament, so this is what I came up with. What do you think. I love the ornaments, they're so cute and I will be making a bunch of these to put on my tree this year. I can't wait to put up the tree, I'm all about hand made Christmas ornaments this year! See the cute reindeer tag that I included on the box. That is part of our Deer Friends Hostess level 2 stamp set. I will be giving one of these sets away at my Christmas Card Extravaganza on November 15th, as well as other great prizes.

Alright everybody, now that I wrote a book for you to read today, I think I better call it quits.
Have a fantastic day and Happy Stampin!
p.s. feel free to e-mail me pictures of projects that your working on, I love to see what my customers come up with.

October club projects

Hi everybody! How are you? Tonight is stamp club and we have 2 really fun projects to do tonight. One is a tilt card and the other is a card that uses all punches and looks like Frankenstein, it's so cute. Both projects are a lot of fun and really not that hard to do. See how in the pictures below, the boat is rocking to the right and then to the left, the tilt card basically tilts a focal point back and forth. I thought it would be pretty cool with the boat seeing that a boat in real life would rock back and forth over the waves. I've also seen this technique done with a hula dancer and her skirt moves back and forth. It would also be really neat with a palm tree and have the leaves rock back and forth. That's it for today.
If your interested in joining a technique club give me a quick call or e-mail. I have a couple ladies who are interested in starting one, but we need a total of 6 ladies.

Supplies: nursery necessities stamp set
cardstock: night of navy, old olive, close to cocoa, whisper white
ink: night of navy, old olive
markers: old olive, bashful blue, night of navy, close to cocoa
accessories: bashful blue striped grosgrain, blue gingham, circle scallop punch, scallop edge punch
To order these or any Stampin Up products head over to my Demonstrator website and click on shop now.
Well that's it for today. I'll show you Frankie tomorrow.
Have a fantastic day and happy stampin!

Batty for you

So I went to Target tonight after the girls went to bed. Good thing their open until 10:00pm! Sometimes I just need to get out of the house and by myself is just an added bonus. So I always check out the dollar spot at target to see if their are any items that would be good for altering, and I was in luck tonight. They had these adorable tins, they came 2 for $1.00. They had packages of black and silver tins and orange and silver, so I got a few and figured I'd use the black and orange ones for Halloween and save the silver ones for Christmas. Really all I did was make a tag with the batty for you set and my 11/4, 13/8, and circle scallop punch. I also used some orange 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and black hemp. If you look at the close up picture you can see how I cut out the bat and put him up on a dimensional (I love to do that).

I love how it says batty for you around the bat, it just makes me think of my kiddos. I am batty for them so I think that Kayla will be finding one of these baskets on Halloween. She loves candy corn and it's so cute the way she says it. Corney candy, she can't remember the right way to say it, I love listening to her say it. Mommy can I please have some corney candy? How can you say no to that? Oh yeah I think about all the sugar in them and then it's a lot easier, but don't let me fool you, she has her fair share.
Alright I'm exhausted seeing that it's 11:46pm, so I'm going to go to bed, before the girls wake up.
I'd say have a fantastic day, but it's over, but by the time some of you read this, it will be day again. So I guess I can say it.

Have a great day and happy stampin!
